Job Title – Maintenance Fitter
Job Location – Co. Antrim
Salary – £32K - £35K
About the Company:
Are you a Qualified Maintenance Fitter based in Co. Antrim? Then this is the role for you. Our client is looking for a suitable candidate that has time-served electrical and/or mechanical engineer and NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering.
You will be responsible to minimise down time on production equipment by completing preventative maintenance activities and responding to equipment breakdowns as required. To continuously improve the uptime / availability on the equipment and upkeep of the facility.
This role will include the working hours of Monday – Thursday 10am – 8pm and Friday 8am – 4pm along with pension, healthcare and other benefits.
Duties- Ensure compliance with Policies & Procedures, safe systems of work and legislative requirements
- Take personal responsibility for safety. Ensure that risks are eliminated or controlled during all maintenance activities.
- Ensure effective maintenance of all equipment and facilities to maximise on equipment availability.
- Complete Electrical & mechanical repairs whilst minimising downtime to ensure minimal disruption to the production plan.
- Fault finding on equipment and plant to determine the root cause of the failures to enable these to be addressed to maximise on equipment availability.
- Assist in the development of planned maintenance schedules for all equipment.
- Ensure all manufacturing equipment and plant is operationally safe and in compliance with relevant legalisation and company policies.
- Promote best practice standards for good housekeeping and tidiness of work area. Take necessary corrective action regarding housekeeping, unsafe acts or adherence to HSEQ rules and procedures. Reporting non-conformances using Engage Software.
- Participate with information sharing and team work to continuously improve equipment and facilities.
- Support the installation of new equipment and plant.
- Time-served electrical and/or mechanical engineer.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering.
- Proven experience and knowledge of fault finding and repair on automated machinery, electrical control systems, Servo drives, PLC’s, mechanical drive systems.
- Must be able to read electrical drawings.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Sound technical ability and knowledge of health & safety aspects.
- Flexible to work overtime when required and be on call.
