Location: Stockingford

Registered Manager - Children's Residential Home
Salary: 50,000 - 55,000 per year
Hours: 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established children's residential provider for a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead one of their homes. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled manager who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people, while leading a team in a supportive and progressive environment.

The Role
As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, operational management, and strategic development of the home. You will ensure the highest standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance with regulatory frameworks are maintained, while supporting your team to provide outstanding care for the young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of care staff, ensuring high standards of practice
  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the residential home
  • Ensure all care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding procedures are up to date and followed
  • Maintain compliance with Ofsted and regulatory standards
  • Monitor staff performance and support ongoing professional development
  • Build positive relationships with young people, families, and external professionals
  • Manage budgets, resources, and reporting requirements effectively
  • Drive continuous improvement and development initiatives within the home

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management (or equivalent) - essential
  • Proven experience managing a children's residential home
  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and residential care regulations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
  • Resilient, organised, and able to make decisions under pressure
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality care to children and young people
