Practice Manager – Endocrinology

Employment type: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Permanent, on site.
Shift times: Monday – Friday, 09:00-17:00.
Salary: Competitive.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Practice Manager to lead our team through a renewed focus on patient flow and patient journey management. The Practice Manager directs and supervises the day‑to‑day functions of the Practice, providing supporting leadership and management to all staff within the practice, and is responsible for line managing four medical secretaries supporting the two practice consultants.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Operational Management:
Oversee clinic operations, ensuring efficient workflows and smooth coordination across teams. - Staff Leadership:
Recruit, train, and manage a diverse team, promoting a positive work culture and fostering professional growth. - Patient Care:
Ensure high‑quality, compassionate care and a seamless patient experience from start to finish. - Compliance & Quality:
Maintain regulatory compliance, implement quality assurance programmes, and manage clinic systems to ensure excellence in patient services. - Financial Oversight:
Manage the clinic’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
- 4‑5 years of prior experience as a Practice Manager.
- Proven track record of managing a challenging practice with fast‑paced patient flow.
- Experience working closely with consultants.
- Private practice experience in a physician‑specific medical specialty such as endocrinology, oncology, HPB or gastroenterology.
- Experience managing appraisals, resource allocation and departmental planning.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, with ability to manage a diverse team and drive operational success.
