Job Description & How to Apply Below
Commercial and Finance Director Our client is a high-performing, privately owned Northern Ireland manufacturing business with revenues of c.£30m, strong financial foundations and a market-leading reputation across the UK and Ireland. Built by entrepreneurial founders, the business now stands at a defining point in its journey. The opportunity to scale is significant and credible, with a clear pathway to building a £100m+ enterprise through organic growth, operational maturity and carefully selected acquisitions.
To realise this ambition, we are retained to appoint a Commercial and Finance Director who will act as a true strategic partner to the founders, strengthening and integrating the commercial and financial foundations of the business. This is not a traditional commercial or finance role, nor is it for someone who simply runs the numbers. This is an exciting growth and transformation mandate.
You will lead the commercial and financial functions, introducing the structure, governance, systems and forward-looking insight required to scale with confidence. You will sharpen margin performance, optimise working capital, enhance reporting and controls, and ensure the business is fully prepared for future funding and investment. You will also play a central role in funding strategy and M&A activity, including evaluation, execution and integration.
The successful candidate will be an accomplished CFO, Finance Director or senior Commercial leader who has played a leading role in scaling a manufacturing or industrial business. Board-level experience, strong commercial instinct and the ability to build governance frameworks that enable data-led decision-making are essential. Experience working with founders or shareholders through periods of accelerated growth is critical. This is a delivery-focused board role for a highly commercial leader who can bring clarity, pace and inspiration to a scaling business, aligning people behind ambitious growth while strengthening the foundations for long-term value creation.
This leadership appointment offers a competitive executive remuneration and benefits package, including long-term incentive arrangements aligned to shareholder value creation. For further information, please visit Clarendon Executive's website through the 'Apply' button. Final date to receive applications:
Friday, 27 March 2026. Our client is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in the workplace.
