We are seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Project Manager to join our P3M Complex Projects team, delivering high-profile transportation and highways projects.

This role offers the chance to lead challenging projects while applying your NEC3/NEC4 expertise, with flexible hybrid working and reimbursed expenses.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage complex highways and transportation projects from initiation to completion.
• Apply NEC3 and NEC4 project management principles across the full project lifecycle.
• Advise clients on cost, programme, risks, and issues.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Manage stakeholder communications, including clients, contractors, and partners.
• Produce regular reporting, including project programmes, risk registers, and progress updates.
• Develop and implement delivery plans, challenge the status quo, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 3-7 years' experience managing complex transportation/highways projects.
• NEC3 and NEC4 accredited or equivalent project management experience.
• Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Based in or able to work from Birmingham.
• Must operate Inside IR35.
• Available for a minimum 6-month contract.
• Hybrid working and expenses reimbursed.
