We have created an exciting new opportunity for an Estates Team Leader to manage and motivate a newly formed Estates & Caretaking Team, ensuring the Council effectively manages its estates, external areas, and communal blocks of flats and shared spaces.
Responsibilities- Manage 9 staff to deliver day‑to‑day housing estate services
- Conduct regular inspections of communal areas internally and externally, ensuring high standards for residents/tenants
- Oversee daily estate maintenance, grounds maintenance and other contract work, including unkept gardens, minor repairs and fly‑tipping and refuse issues on our estates
- Proactively inspect and coordinate with other departments, partners and contractors for seamless service delivery
- Maintain a positive relationship with residents, resolving and handling complaints on the estate, including issues with empty properties
- Ensure compliance with health and fire safety regulations
- Experience working within a similar field or environment
- Understanding of social housing and associated issues and services
- Experience in a team‑leader or supervisory role
