To start as soon as possible, full time, permanent

As Head of O&M Excellence, you will be responsible to drive performance improvements across our operations portfolio, including the setup and ownership of our “Offshore Production System”, drive diagnostics and identification of improvement potentials. You will ensure to drive process standardization and ensure a value-oriented digitization roadmap exists across operations. With your team, you will also support the implementation of improvement initiatives.

In addition to O&M Excellence, you will have overarching accountability for our Data & Performance Analysis, Works Management Processes, and central Maintenance Optimisation functions. This encompasses establishing and continuously enhancing our Performance Management System, ensuring accurate and insightful regular reporting, maintaining and further standardising our core works management processes, and driving their digitisation aligned with our Digitisation Roadmap for Operations.

Furthermore, you will lead fleet-wide initiatives focused on optimising maintenance routines and frequencies.

About the role:
  • Lead and develop the O&M Excellence Dep. to ensure industry leading oper. performance, process and maint. improvement and systematic performance reporting of the offshore wind fleet

  • Lead the definition and ownership of the RWE Offshore Production System

  • Drive operational diagnostics and improvement identification across sites in collaboration with site/ cluster leadership teams and inform target setting

  • Drive process standardisation for Operations fleet and Digitisation roadmap (partly integrated with Production System ownership) for our Works Management Process landscape

  • Jointly own improvement targets together with the site management team and support implementation on sites as needed

  • Have overarching responsibility for a standardised KPI framework for Operations, including loss tracking

  • Be responsible for timely and high-quality performance reports for decision-making of the leadership team

  • Drive data-based performance diagnostics with site teams to enable improvement initiatives

  • Monitor improvement impacts and provide regular insights to other teams through reports

  • Lead our maintenance optimization efforts across the fleet incl. standardization of our related works instructions

Job requirements and experience:
  • Extensive operations experience and proven history of delivering operational performance within offshore wind

  • Experience in systematic improvement work in offshore wind (lever identification, quantification and implementation)

  • Prior experience with Production System development, lean principles and their practical implementation as well as experience from other industries are a strong plus

  • University degree in business, renewable energy, engineering, project management or equivalent

  • Several years of relevant working experience

  • Thorough understanding of the renewables business and its drivers and trends across markets and technologies

  • Flexibility and willingness to travel in the region and internationally on a regular basis

  • Success oriented personality, committed to drive operational performance against complex boundary conditions

  • Advanced structured problem-solving capabilities combined with strategic thinking

  • English is mandatory, additional European languages is of advantage

  • The geographical focus for this role is international
