An established and highly respected British design-led brand is entering an exciting new phase of growth and is launching a brand-new warehouse operation in Banbury. To support this expansion, we are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead the operation from the ground up.

This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in setting up and shaping a new facility, building a high-performing team, and creating efficient, scalable warehouse processes that support both ecommerce and wholesale customers.

The Role

As Warehouse Manager, you will take full ownership of the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring goods move safely, accurately and on time. You ll be a hands-on leader who enjoys building teams, improving processes and delivering excellent service.

You will also be involved in the transition from a third-party logistics provider to the new Banbury site, ensuring a smooth and well-planned go live.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse & Team Leadership

• Recruit, train and manage permanent and seasonal warehouse staff
• Create a positive, engaged team culture with a focus on development
• Lead by example in a hands-on operational environment

Operational Management

• Oversee goods-in, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, returns and stock checks
• Manage both B2B/wholesale and ecommerce order fulfilment
• Maintain high levels of stock accuracy and inventory control

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Lead site-wide Health & Safety standards
• Conduct risk assessments and manage incident reporting
• Ensure safe use and maintenance of warehouse equipment

Systems, Process & Performance

• Use WMS and reporting tools to monitor performance and improve efficiency
• Own and maintain SOPs, ensuring all staff are trained and compliant
• Drive continuous improvement as the operation scales

Pre Go-Live & Transition

• Spend time embedded at the current 3PL site to learn existing processes
• Support planning and execution of the warehouse move
• Act as a key operational contact ahead of site launch

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience managing warehouse operations (ecommerce and wholesale ideally)
• Strong people leadership and supervisory skills
• Solid understanding of logistics, inventory management and warehouse best practice
• Confident using systems and data (WMS experience preferred)
• Proactive, organised and improvement-focused
• Strong Health & Safety awareness
• Forklift licence desirable but not essential

Working hours: Approximately 8:00am 4:30pm, with flexibility required during peak periods, stock transfers or operational moves.
