Job Description

Salary: £25,583 – £25,989 pro rata (Band
2).
Hours:
30 hours per week (annualised).
Contract:
Permanent.
We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Coastal Properties Team as a Cleansing Assistant at Southwold Caravan Site.
Your roleThe post holder will join the Coastal Properties team within Property and Place which manages the Southwold Caravan Site. This role requires an agile working approach, practicality and the ability to positively represent our Coastal property assets and services throughout the year.
Day‑to‑day, the work will include performing general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and sanitising surfaces, vacuuming and maintaining cleanliness in offices and other specific areas, collecting and properly sorting rubbish to ensure a clean and orderly environment, and completing routine inspections of the restrooms and common areas to keep them fresh and sanitary.
Please note, the role may include weekend working as part of the standard week. The post holder will be required to attend to all aspects of the daily running of a busy Caravan and Camp site and the service needs throughout the Season, with the highest demand during the main season. The role will include being outside in the Resort as well as in the office.
The hours are variable over the year to meet the seasonal demands of the role; therefore, working hours per week may vary up to 37 hours, but will average out at 30 hours per week. Greater hours would be worked March–November and lesser hours works December–March. The main working times will be dictated by the needs of the business over a 7‑day week.
Bank holiday working will also apply.
The successful candidate will be flexible to respond to the demands and requirements of the seasonal services represented by the service area and have a practical approach to work and problem solving. The candidate will have the ability to accept changing priorities and demands, and handle interruptions and requirement changes when necessary.
