The Role

We are seeking a proactive and reliable General Maintenance / Handyperson to support the ongoing upkeep of our manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on role suited to a practical, multi-skilled individual who takes pride in maintaining a safe, functional and well-presented site.

Key Responsibilities:

* Performing routine "planned preventative maintenance" (PPM) on non-specialist equipment

* Conducting general building repairs, including basic plumbing, carpentry, and painting

* Managing external contractors for specialised site works (e.g., HVAC or electrical)

* Ensuring health and safety compliance by conducting regular fire alarm tests and emergency lighting checks

* Maintaining the exterior grounds to ensure a safe and professional environment

The Ideal Candidate

You will be practical, dependable and confident working across a variety of maintenance tasks in an industrial or manufacturing setting. A problem-solver by nature, you’ll be comfortable managing your own workload while maintaining high safety standards.

About you:

* Proven experience in a similar maintenance or "handy-person" role, ideally within an industrial setting

* A "can-do" attitude with the ability to troubleshoot problems independently

* Working knowledge of health and safety regulations (COSHH, manual handling)
