Position: Digital Marketing – Placement Year
Location: Colwick

Hillarys, part of Hunter Douglas, the global leader in window coverings is looking for an enthusiastic and detail‑focused Digital Marketing Placement Student to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a university student seeking a placement year and eager to learn more about website management, content creation, product information management, and digital performance. You’ll play a key role in building new websites and keeping our current website and visualisation tool accurate, engaging, and up to date.

Key Responsibilities
  • Brief new copy, imagery, videos, and other content assets.
  • Upload and maintain content within the CMS, including copy, images, and videos.
  • Test website and visualisation tool updates across different devices and report issues to the development team.
  • Produce user guides and training articles.
  • Upload product information, specifications, and imagery into the PIM system.
  • Brief creative teams on promotional copy and design requirements.
  • Upload and test promotional content to ensure it displays correctly on the website.
  • Use Google Analytics to review and interpret key performance metrics (training provided).
  • Share insights and ideas for improvements with the wider digital team.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, able to work across teams.
  • A proactive problem solver.
  • Strong time‑management skills, able to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
