Let’s start with the obvious: if you love data purely for the sake of data, this probably isn’t for you.
But if you enjoy taking messy complicated information, pulling it apart and making sense of it (then explaining why it mattersto people who don’t speak SQL for fun) keep reading.
The roleThis is a senior, business-facing data role with real influence.
You’ll sit at the intersection of data, technology and decision-making, turning raw numbers into insight that shapes strategy, operations and profitability. You won’t just be asked to build reports; you’ll be asked what the data is really telling us.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, getting under the skin of their challenges, translating requirements into analytical solutions and delivering insight people can actually use.
In short: you’ll help build a more data-driven organisation.
What you’ll be doing- Manipulating and analysing complex datasets, turning them into clear, useful insight
- Designing and maintaining dashboards and automated reports (Power BI / Tableau)
- Writing advanced SQL queries: this is core to the role (5+ years’ experience expected)
- Using Python for deeper analysis, automation and problem-solving
- Working closely with technical teams to ensure data models are robust and reliable
- Sitting down with stakeholders, asking the right questions and understanding what they really need
- Translating complex findings into clear recommendations for non-technical audiences
- Acting as a trusted data advisor across the business
- Helping set standards, best practice and direction for analytics as the function grows
- Strong experience as a Data Analyst or Senior Data Analyst
- Deep SQL expertise (this is non-negotiable)
- Experience with Power BI and/or Tableau
- Python experience for analysis and automation
- A solid understanding of data modelling and how data supports business logic
- Confidence working directly with stakeholders, you can explain the “why”, not just the “what”
- The ability to balance technical depth with commercial thinking
- A collaborative mindset, you enjoy working with the business, not in a silo
- £70,000 salary + Car allowance (£5,610)
- A senior position with real autonomy and visibility
- The chance to shape how data is used across the organisation
- A culture built around doing the right thing, working together, trusting each other and always trying to be better
- Private healthcare for you and your family
- Company pension scheme
- Flexible benefits (gym membership, tech, health assessments and more)
- Access to an online wellbeing centre
- Discounts with a wide range of retailers
- 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with service, with buy/sell options
