Our client, a leading Cultural organisation now has an opportunity for a Human Resources Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. The salary for this role is in the range of 34,500 to 38,000 per year and the role offers hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days per week working from the London office.

As HR Advisor you will work within the HR Business Partnering team and act as a trusted partner to managers and employees across the organisation, providing expert guidance across the full employee lifecycle, with a particular focus on supporting Employee Relations cases and Change management processes.

This organisation is a unionised environment, so experience working collaboratively with trade union representatives is essential, ideally gained within a large public sector setting.

Key skills and experience requirements include:

  • Proven experience of delivering an HR Advisory service in a large public sector organisation, or other heavily unionised organisation
  • Demonstrable experience of providing generalist operational and advisory HR support and advice to staff and line managers at all levels
  • Experience of managing a range of employee relations case work, providing sound professional and risk-based advice, coaching and supporting line managers and participating in formal and informal meetings in relation to redundancy, probation, sickness absence, disciplinary, performance management, grievance investigations and meetings
  • Experience of evaluating options, identifying effective courses of action, and taking initiative to resolve problems
  • Experience of making constructive recommendations for improvement of systems and procedures and seeing them through implementation
  • Experience of managing a high volume and demanding workload and working to tight deadlines, prioritising own workload and delivering accurate and high-quality work often with conflicting demands
  • Experience with managing fixed-term contracts
  • Solid understanding of employment law
  • Experience with Civil Service Compensation Scheme and MyCSP processes would be desirable
