Full-Time
We are looking for a hands‑on and enthusiastic Maintenance Assistant to join the team at Lochside House Hotel, Lodges & Spa. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience and contribute to the smooth operation of a luxury hotel.
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks correctly and efficiently, ensuring a safe environment for guests, visitors, and employees. You will need to have a keen eye for detail, be an effective communicator, and possess excellent knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations. You will be organised and react promptly and efficiently as requested to meet the needs of the business.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing:
- Carry out general maintenance tasks across the hotel, lodges, and spa, including basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs.
- Assist with preventative maintenance schedules to ensure all facilities are kept in excellent working order.
- Support the hotel management team by responding promptly to reactive repair requests.
- Maintain hotel and maintenance areas to keep them clean, organised, and safe.
- Ensure the hotel grounds are kept clean, tidy, and well maintained all year round, including managing bins and waste disposal.
- Perform hot tub and pool plant testing as required, ensuring water quality and safety standards are met.
- Support other departments with day‑to‑day duties where needed, such as assisting housekeeping with laundry or room setup.
- Occasionally travel to other RAD Hotel Group venues to provide maintenance support.
- Some previous experience in a maintenance or trades role is preferable.
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- A proactive and practical approach to problem‑solving.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, can‑do attitude.
- Experience with hot tub pool plant testing is preferable, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Full UK Drivers Licence Required.
