Hydes Brewery Ltd invites applications for the General Manager of the Pack Horse premium dining pub in Affetside.

Hours:

48 hours per week including evenings and weekends with 2 consecutive rest days each week.

The Pack Horse is a premium dining pub located in Affetside, offering an open‑plan bar, cosy dining areas, a terrace with countryside views, high‑quality locally sourced food and a relaxed beer garden.

The General Manager ensures the Pack Horse is a success.

• Operate fresh‑food led sites delivering at least £35,000 net a week with a 35%/65% wet/dry split.
• Build a strong local reputation through self‑promotion on social media and events.
• Maintain excellent food and hospitality standards, engaging customers and listening to feedback.
• Motivate and lead a high‑performing team with a culture of involvement, professionalism and fun.
• Oversee P&L, manage key lines and maintain tight control on cash, stock and administrative processes.
• Ensure all deliverables are met, maintaining impeccable admin and timely reporting.

• Strong customer service focus and ability to develop an inspiring culture across the site.
• Demonstrated continual learning and development for self and team.
• Strategic awareness of long‑term business goals and evidence‑based decision‑making.
