Locum MSK Consultant Radiologist - 12 Month FTC

Closing date: 24 March 2026

Job Plan Commitment: 10 PA

We are looking for a Locum MSK Consultant Radiologist to join the team at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust on a 12‑month fixed term contract. The post is full‑time, but part‑time applicants will also be considered.

The Radiology department is well‑equipped with two 128 slice Siemens CT scanners, two 1.5T Siemens MRI scanners, digital screening rooms and updated US machines. Work is underway to install a new Cardiac CT scanner and a SPECT CT. On‑site CT and MRI vans provide additional coverage.

The Breast Centre supports the Wiltshire Breast Screening Service for Swindon, North and West Wiltshire, screening nearly 100,000 women over a three‑year cycle using Hologic mammography units with tomosynthesis. A contrast‑enhanced mammography (CEM) service is forthcoming, and localisations are typically performed with Magseed. There is also a new SPECT CT scanner in the main radiology department.

The radiologists work as a cohesive, functional team, and a private practice operates on a co‑operative basis.
