Community Staff Nurse

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for either a newly qualified nurse or someone keen to join our team in Ballachullish with previous community experience. You will cover a caseload in South Lochaber and travel across an amazing landscape to Glencoe and Kinlochleven to see your patients in their homes. There will also be the opportunity to work across other community nursing teams in Lochaber.

The post is for 20 hours per week which includes weekends and on‑call for palliative care as required.

• Cover a caseload in South Lochaber and provide home visits to patients in Glencoe and Kinlochleven.
• Work across community nursing teams in Lochaber as required.
• Provide on‑call support for palliative care.
• Travel efficiently across remote and rural Lochaber using your own vehicle.

• Post registration experience desirable.
• Sound knowledge of clinical skills relevant to community nursing.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A current driving licence and ability to use your own car for work purposes.

• Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part‑time hours will be adjusted pro‑rata and hourly rate increased to maintain pay.
