Join Our Team as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse - School Nurse. Are you passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of children and young people? We have an exciting opportunity for you to make a real difference in the Bury Community.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Lead operational and strategic management of a defined caseload, ensuring high-quality care is delivered in line with the Health Child Programme.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify and safeguard vulnerable children and their families, partnering with other agencies to ensure every child gets the support they need.
  • Develop, implement and ensure compliance of essential policies and procedures, including appraisals, personal development plans and clinical supervision.
  • Develop and deliver essential services tailored to children and their families within a diverse caseload, helping families navigate health journeys and encouraging positive, healthy choices.
  • Provide a robust public health-based service aimed at improving the health outcomes of children and families in Bury; deliver the Healthy Child Programme with partners.
  • Manage a safeguarding caseload (child protection) to ensure safety and wellbeing for all children in your care.
  • Provide line management support within your team to foster growth and collaboration.
