The Community Dental Service is seeking a motivated individual to join our team within the administration hub based at Ynyshir Surgery.
This is a fast-paced department, working with a variety of stakeholders, including clinical staff, patients, and other departments.

Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn t mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn t need to have skills in Welsh, we ll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn t fluency , just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.

An excellent opportunity has arisen within the Community Dental Service.
Applicants will need excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy while providing a professional service.
You will be responsible for wide ranging portfolio of work, ranging from waiting list work, appointment management, maintaining data and a wide variety of administrative duties.
You must be able to work in a busy environment and feel confident liaising with and meeting healthcare staff of all grades, as well as patients.

Person Specification Qualifications- Vocational Level 3 in relevant area such as Business Administration or Management or possess demonstrable equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
- ECDL
- Knowledge of Dentally software
- Experience working in a patient/customer facing environment.
- Experience of working within a team.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel.
- Experience working within the NHS/healthcare.
- Experience with patient administration.
- Previous use of other NHS databases such as WPAS Myrddin and TOMs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation and with patients and families/carers.
- Good communication and listening skills.
- Initiative and ability to work independently, able to problem solve and prioritise own and others work.
- Welsh Language Speaking/Listening Skills at Level 3 or above
- Ability to travel across CTMUHB footprint in a timely manner if required.
- Ability to motivate self and others Flexible and adaptable approach to working.
- Ability to work autonomously within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Methodical and reliable.
