About The Service:
Cwlach is a property which consists of 5 self-contained flats, a residential service for adults from 18 years and over.

We are a registered Care Home Service and provide support to individuals who may have a range of needs including, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Learning Disabilities and /or Mental Health needs.

Experience of working with Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, ASD and Challenging Behaviour would be advantageous but not essential, as we provide full training and Induction programme.

Support Worker Skills & Experience
  • Experience (desirable but not essential) of working in a caring environment
  • Experience (desirable but not essential) of working with adults with autism
  • Experience (desirable but not essential) of working with adults with learning disabilities and/or Mental Health needs
  • To have completed or be willing to work towards level two QCF as required criteria for Social Care Wales Registration
  • Drivers desirable but not essential
  • Able to work unsociable hours, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Excellent communication skills, allowing you to engage & interact with supported individuals.
  • Good writing and IT skills
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure
  • Confidence to work alone and also be part of a team

What we do!

We are a well-established, nationwide healthcare provider. Our homes offer adults person-centred care. We carefully develop and adapt homes to meet the varying needs of our supported individuals. The services are carefully located within thriving communities, offering a variety of educational, recreational, and social activities.

We provide a positive impact on the service experience of people with specific needs who may be experiencing emotional distress. This primarily involves support using a person-centred approach. Our support workers measure outcomes specifically to an individual’s needs and evidence using our person-centred outcome-measuring tool.

Successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure prior to commencement of employment; the disclosure expense will be met by the employer.
