Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse with qualifications and experience in Acute Mental Health. The team is based in Newcastle Emlyn, Ceredigion.

The Community Mental Health Team is a multi-disciplinary team that undertakes initial comprehensive assessment of people accessing the service. We offer care coordination under the Mental Health Measure (Wales) 2010 to support people through their recovery. The team works closely with wider mental health services within Hywel Dda, other statutory services and third sector services to ensure people accessing mental health services receive the most appropriate care for their needs.

The ability to travel between sites in a timely manner is essential.

Main duties of the job

Applicants will have significant experience working in an acute adult mental health setting and will require a sound knowledge of current issues pertaining to mental health, crisis intervention and home treatment. Comprehensive assessment, risk assessment and management skills within the context of CTP are essential, as are excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to manage time and prioritise workload is fundamental to effective service delivery.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable;
