Overview

Senior Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We're currently searching for a fantastic Female Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our supported living service in Harleston. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people.

As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision's, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances.

You'll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

Salary:
Female Senior Support Worker - Harleston: £14.39 ph up to £15.39 with overtime and evening/weekend enhancements (Ts & Cs apply). Typical shifts are:
Monday-Sunday 7am-3pm & 3pm-10pm (Shifts are on a rota basis). Sleeps/Nights may be required as part of this role.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the day-to-day supervision and management of the supported living service, in collaboration with the Manager.
  • Allocate shifts, schedule training, induct new colleagues, and support supervision.
  • Order medication and ensure the people we support are assisted to manage their finances.
  • Maintain a person-centred approach to care, keeping the individuals at the heart of day-to-day support.
  • Provide a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment for the team and the people we support.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker.
  • Level 3 in Health & Social Care is desired.
  • Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
