Location: Clent

Three Roses Homes is a registered charity that provides residential care for 14 adults with learning disabilities. Some of our individuals have also developed dementia and/or varying degrees of mobility problems.

While all applicants who wish to work in the field of learning disability care will be considered, preference is given to those with the following qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Adult Health and Social Care qualification
  • 12 months experience of working with Learning Disabilities
  • At least 2 years experience of working in a Health and Social Care setting
Responsibilities
  • Participate in the assessment of the needs of individual service users
  • Support individuals according to their agreed care plans
  • Promote individual choice and involvement in decision‑making
  • Enable individuals to have new experiences and opportunities
  • Be responsible for their care, including physical (e.g., basic cleanliness and hygiene) and emotional needs
  • Assist with daily activities alongside other Care Staff and Activity Coordinators
  • Take individuals to appointments and on trips when required
  • Ensure that individuals have the items they need and want (e.g., toiletries, new clothing)
  • Assist with administering individuals’ medications as needed
  • Ensure good communication with the important people in the individuals’ lives, including other professionals where necessary
  • Help maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home with due regard to Food Hygiene and Health & Safety minimum standards, and report all accidents to your Line Manager as soon as possible
  • Read and complete reports, record notes and keep up‑to‑date with individual care plans
  • Participate in training, courses, staff meetings, as directed or recommended by senior staff or the Manager
  • Undertake other duties as necessary to support our service users, including household tasks such as laundry, cleaning, preparing food
  • Work as a team with the other staff to ensure the smooth running of the home and maintain the homely environment
  • In all contacts, present a good image of the home and maintain constructive relationships
  • Carry out all duties in a manner that promotes equality of opportunity, dignity and due respect for all employees and service users

Schedule

Mostly 12‑hour shifts (08:00–20:00), with some 6‑ to 7‑hour shifts. While we aim to keep the shifts scheduled in a repeating routine from one 4‑week rota to the next, there will be opportunities for extra shifts, including nights, to cover annual or other leave of colleagues.

Pay

Hourly rate £13.12
