At NNUH it is our privilege to provide healthcare to over one million people across Norfolk and surrounding areas. Our vision is to ‘provide the best care for every patient’, and if this inspires you and you share our values, we really want you to join our team.

NNUH is currently the busiest Trauma Unit in the East of England caring for almost 850 trauma patients annually many with complex care needs. Our values support our vision and guide the behaviour of everything we do, these are:

People-focused

We look after the needs of our patients, carers and colleagues, to provide a safe and caring experience for all.

Respect

We act with care, compassion and kindness and value others’ diverse needs.

Integrity

We take an honest, open and ethical approach to everything we do.

Job overview

Exciting changes have happened at NNUH by the opening of the largest on site expansion for Interventional Radiology, quadrupling our Interventional Radiology department suite complex, and we are looking for an experienced Nurse, Operating Department Practitioner or Paramedic to join our team on a fixed term secondment.

The Norfolk Centre for Interventional Radiology (NCIR) is a self-contained unit, which provides dedicated reception, pre-operative assessment rooms alongside a 16 bed recovery with state of the art monitoring installed. The area also incorporates 4 state of the art Interventional Radiology theatre suites which house two state of the art Siemens Pheno systems. We are the only Interventional Radiology unit in the UK to have two Pheno systems.

This means an expansion of all the procedures we currently perform especially the wide range of Vascular and Non-vascular interventional procedures putting us at the cutting edge of IR developments.

The post holder will work with all members of the Ward/Department Clinical Team within the multidisciplinary framework. Maintain a high standard of patient care under the direction of the Ward/Department Sister/Charge Nurse.

Previous experience is not required as you will have a robust programme of induction and will receive a comprehensive in-house training package. You can expect a period of supernumerary training and will be well supported by experienced staff.
