Job Title: Part-Time Finance Manager Sports & Entertainment Group
Location: North of England (Hybrid working available)
Salary: Equivalent to £45,000 FTE (Pro-rata for 3 days per week)

My client is an ambitious and fast-growing organisation operating within the sports and entertainment sector. With multiple clubs and a growing commercial presence, the group is entering a particularly exciting period of expansion both in the UK and internationally.
Due to continued growth, my client is now seeking a capable and commercially minded Finance Manager to join the leadership team. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in shaping the financial structure of a dynamic and evolving organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager who is looking for a flexible role while still having significant influence within a growing group.
The Role
As Finance Manager, you will oversee the finance function across several group entities operating in the sports, events, and commercial sectors. You will also ensure financial accuracy across the group while supporting directors with strategic insight and financial planning.
The successful Finance Manager will work closely with senior leadership to improve systems, strengthen financial controls, and help the organisation scale effectively during a key period of growth.
Key Responsibilities
Overseeing the accounts function across multiple clubs and commercial entities as Finance Manager.
Ensuring the accuracy of financial information from the finance team to support smooth credit control, supplier payments, and cashflow forecasting.
Preparing monthly management accounts, budgets, and variance analysis.
Working closely with directors to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial processes through technology, automation, and AI tools.
Running revenue protection processes to ensure all commercial income streams are fully captured and maximised.
Managing payroll processes across the group.
Liaising with external accountants and auditors.
Supporting transactions, funding activities, and commercial growth initiatives where required.
Ensuring financial compliance across VAT and other relevant regulatory requirements.
About You
My client is looking for a capable and trustworthy individual who is practical, commercially minded and comfortable operating in a fast-moving organisation.
You will have:
5+ years experience in a finance role (Qualified by Experience considered).
Experience in sports, entertainment, or a commercial environment is desirable.
Strong working knowledge of Xero, Excel, and general ledger management.
Excellent attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
Confidence communicating with directors, suppliers, and governance bodies.
A hands-on attitude and willingness to support the wider team where needed.
