MONDAY FRIDAY 8AM 4PM 37.5 HOURS PER WEEK

The Role
To provide support to the Finance function in maintaining accurate and timely financial records and ensuring the efficient operation of the organisation s accounting processes. The role is responsible for processing financial transactions, maintaining ledgers and preparing financial information to support reporting and informed decision making.
The Accounts Assistant ensures that financial data is reliable, compliant with established procedures and readily available to support budgeting, reporting and the overall financial management of the organisation.
Duties
- Maintain accurate day to day bookkeeping, including recording transactions in the ledgers
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure cash balances are correct and up to date
- Support credit control processes, including monitoring outstanding invoices and following up on overdue balances
- Assist with bringing invoices in house and processing purchase and sales invoices efficiently
- Support the month end close process, including preparation of purchase and sales ledger reconciliations
- Help maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate posting and classification of transactions
- Monitor account balances and assist in resolving discrepancies to ensure financial data integrity
- Contribute to improving financial processes and supporting the Finance team with ad hoc tasks as required.
Experience Required
- Previous accounts experience
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Good organisational skills
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong administrative skills
