An immediate opportunity is available for an experienced Credit Controller to join our client's small, friendly finance team and take ownership of key credit control and sales ledger responsibilities.

Seymour John are pleased to be working with a well-established business in Highley, as they look to appoint an experienced Credit Controller, to strengthen their finance team.

• Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for:
• Managing the sales ledger, including daily payment processing and account allocations
• Handling customer account setup, credit limits, insurance applications, and documentation (invoices, statements, portals)
• Chasing overdue payments, managing debt recovery actions, and maintaining accurate account reconciliations
• Authorising sales orders for despatch and maintaining the customer debit note database
• Reconciling merchant services accounts (Pay Pal, Stripe, World Pay) and Amazon Vendor/Seller accounts
• Producing regular financial reports and weekly cashflow forecasts
• Supporting general finance and office tasks as required

We're looking for a proactive and experienced Credit Controller who can confidently manage the full credit control cycle, while building strong relationships with customers and colleagues. The ideal candidate will bring previous sales ledger or credit control experience, excellent communication skills, and a calm, organised approach when working to deadlines. Strong attention to detail, good Excel skills, and a professional, tenacious attitude towards debt collection are essential.
