Reporting to the General Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of a busy accounts department.

About the Job The Assistant Accountant will play an integral role within the accounts function, you'll be responsible for completing and assisting with... Provide accurate financial reports and analysis Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, financial projections, and cashflow reports. Oversee daily accounting operations including invoicing, revenue reporting, purchase orders, supplier payments, and credit control. Manage all banking activities, reconciliations, cash management, and payroll processing.

Prepare year-end financial statements and liaise with external accountants and auditors. Maintain and improve financial systems, controls, and automated processes to enhance efficiency. Monitor and analyse financial performance, KPIs, and working capital to support business decisions. Ensure full compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements, liaising with HMRC and Companies House as needed. Experience, Skills and Attributes Accounts Technician or Part Qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / IATI) (or qualified by experience) with at least 1 year relevant experience Strong excel skills A good team player with strong professional work ethic.
