Ruby Group are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to lead and develop a high-performing finance team within a complex, multi-entity environment. This is a senior leadership role combining strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, offering the chance to shape financial operations and drive continuous improvement. In this role, you will manage statutory and regulatory reporting across multiple entities, oversee treasury and capital functions, and ensure compliance with accounting, audit, tax, and legal requirements.

You will lead the preparation of statutory accounts, manage debt covenant reporting, and maintain robust internal controls. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will act as a trusted advisor on technical accounting treatments and support accurate forecasting and planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver statutory accounts and regulatory reports to strict deadlines. Oversee AP/AR, treasury, and capital functions ensuring strong control environment. Manage debt covenant compliance and liquidity through active treasury management. Lead audit processes and maintain relationships with auditors and tax advisors. Drive process improvements, ERP enhancements, and financial best practice. Provide leadership and development to a team of 4 direct reports.

About You:

ACA (or equivalent) qualified with significant post-qualification experience. Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, tax, and VAT; working knowledge of IFRS. Proven experience in senior finance leadership roles. Skilled in influencing at all levels and explaining complex financial issues clearly. Commercially aware, proactive, and solutions focused. This is a hybrid working role, 3 days a week in the office, Excellent benefits including private medical insurance, pension scheme, and generous holiday allowance.
