Senior Fire Engineer

A growing multidisciplinary consultancy is seeking a Senior Fire Engineer to join their expanding fire engineering team.

This opportunity for a Senior Fire Engineer offers involvement in diverse projects across the built environment, supporting clients from early design stages through to construction and completion.

The Senior Fire Engineer will play a vital role in delivering technically robust fire engineering solutions while helping shape the next generation of engineers.

The Senior Fire Engineer's Role

The Senior Fire Engineer will lead and contribute to a range of fire engineering projects across multiple sectors and building types.

Working alongside a collaborative team, the Senior Fire Engineer will manage complex assignments while also guiding smaller projects to successful completion.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing medium to large and technically complex fire engineering projects.
• Delivering fire strategy design, analysis, and assurance during construction phases.
• Working across a varied portfolio of UK and international projects.
• Supporting and mentoring graduate engineers, apprentices, and junior engineers.
• Providing expert consultancy advice and responding to technical client queries.
• Contributing to technical excellence, quality processes, and best practice.
• Supporting business growth through relationship building and client engagement.

The Senior Fire Engineer

The ideal Senior Fire Engineer will bring both technical expertise and strong consultancy skills.

The Senior Fire Engineer should demonstrate leadership qualities and a commitment to high professional standards.

Typical requirements include:

• An Engineering Council accredited BEng (Hons), MEng, or MSc in a relevant discipline.
• Associate membership of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE).
• A clear pathway towards Chartered Engineer status.
• Strong communication and client-facing consultancy skills.
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior engineers.
