Responsibilities and duties of the Cost Controller role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager you will:

• Manage, administer and maintain project cost forecasting and cost management systems.
• Develop and implement suitable cost control systems to support effective cost, time and performance management.
• Manage project costs including planning, developing, controlling and forecasting project budgets.
• Prepare and submit KPI information to the client, coordinating internally with relevant team members to obtain required supporting information.
• Prepare monthly internal cost and value reconciliation reports.
• Support the commercial team with payment applications and other client-required reporting.
• Advise the project team on cost coding and budgets for the preparation of requisitions and subcontract orders.
• Ensure project financial data is accurately maintained and reported.

This role is working on-site in Seascale and will require a flexible working attitude.

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Experience working with construction-related costing systems and accounting practices.
• Strong ability to manipulate data and develop spreadsheets using Excel and similar tools.
• Experience supporting project cost management, forecasting and reporting activities.

Understanding of cost control processes within engineering or construction environments.
