Site Supervisor
National Grid Interconnectors is at the heart of the UK’s transition to net zero. We operate a portfolio of HVDC Interconnectors that connect the UK’s energy system to neighbours, allowing energy to be imported to and exported from the UK. We are also developing new projects to meet future demand.
What you’ll do- Monitor progress, safety performance and quality of work.
- Lead by example and coach contractors to maintain safety and quality, mindful of programme impacts.
- Assist the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor with commercial claims responses using project knowledge.
- Support a collaborative environment across the supply chain and Operations team.
- Create a trusting atmosphere where all opinions are welcomed and used to improve.
- Knowledge and application of CDM, Safety and Environmental Regulations.
- Knowledge of the Electricity Transmission System.
- Analytical skills to make data‑driven decisions.
- Expert stakeholder engagement and collaboration to remove blockers.
- Experience developing teams and delivering high‑quality results.
- Strong communication skills and understanding of collaboration and stakeholder management.
A competitive salary between £51,000 – £60,000, dependent on capability. In addition, a bonus based on personal and company performance, a contributory pension scheme with a 12% company match, and flexible benefits such as a share incentive, salary‑sacrifice car and technology schemes, employee assistance, and matched charity giving.
