Quantity Surveyor (Electrical Contractor) – York

£50,000 to £60,000 per annum plus package and generous bonus

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking for a fresh challenge / career progression? Are you from an electrical / subcontract background? TS Recruitment are actively working with an Electrical contractor based in York who are looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join the team.

• Basic salary circa £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
• Company car or car allowance
• Career progression to commercial manager
• 8.30 am to 5 pm working hours
• Bonus up to 15%
• 3% employee pension contributions

• Commercially manage projects for a specialist Electrical Contractor
• Work includes commercial new build and commercial decarbonisation work such as solar panels
• Work closely with the Contracts Managers to ensure projects are completed within budget
• Carry out monthly cost value reports
• Attend site meetings
• Complete final accounts
• Manage the contractual QS side identifying and resolving issues

• Long established business with over 50 years of trading.
• £6 million turnover and part of a larger group of companies
• Long-term client base for renowned tier 1 main contractors
• Work on commercial new builds and commercial local authority refurb work
• Geographically cover a region from Leeds to York and the East coast

• A proven history working as a Quantity Surveyor
• Electrical experience preferred but a subcontract background considered
• Preferably degree educated
• Good IT and numerical skills
• Full UK driving license
