The Opportunity
Are you an experienced and skilled Product Design Engineer, with a passion for turning exciting concepts into reality? Join a dynamic team of innovators, bridging the gap between customer notion, safety, function and leading edge technology. You will play a pivotal role in the complete product development cycle through to final manufacturing specifications.
What You’ll Do

* As my client’s new Product Design Engineer, you will focus on the design and development of innovative products, ensuring they are functional, user-centric, and cost-effective.

* Utilize 3D CAD (ideally AutoCAD) to create detailed designs, parts lists and technical specifications.

* Apply deep knowledge of manufacturing processes to create functional, successful and durable designs.

* Validate prototypes to identify design weaknesses and optimize performance.

* Partner with manufacturing partners and internal teams to ensure technical feasibility and commercial success.
What You’ll Need
To be considered for the role of Product Design Engineer, you should be able to demonstrate the following:

* Education:

A degree (BSc, BEng), HND ir HNC in Mechanical Engineering plus 5 years experience in in a similar product design environment or consultancy.

* Software Mastery:
Proficiency in AutoD-CAD or Solid Works and MS Office.

* Problem-Solving

Skills:

A pragmatic approach to solving complex engineering challenges and balancing conflicting product requirements.

* Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating your design process, technical drawings, and successful projects.

* Soft Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; a true team player; committed – you care about outcomes.
