We're offering an exciting Level 2 Nuclear Working Wales Apprenticeship at our Wylfa site on Anglesey, North Wales — where you'll gain valuable qualifications, practical skills, and expert support, all while getting paid.

🎓 What Is the Apprenticeship

This Government-approved Level 2 Nuclear Working Wales Apprenticeship gives you a solid foundation in the nuclear industry with a focus on radiation protection and contamination control.

The programme includes:

  • One day a week academic study at Coleg Menai
  • Three days per week of practical, on-the-job training at the Wylfa nuclear site
  • Mentoring from experienced Health Physics professionals
  • Training in real-world nuclear environments where safety is paramount

Monday to Thursday, 07:15 – 17:00 (37 hours/week) (30-minute unpaid lunch)

✅ Entry Requirements & What We're Looking For

We're looking for motivated individuals with a passion for science and safety.

You must:

  • Be 18 or older by 3rd August 2026
  • Have 5 GCSEs (grades 9–3 / A–D)
    * including Maths and Science

We're also looking for:

  • ✅ Enthusiasm for science and nuclear safety
  • ✅ A meticulous and detail‑focused mindset
  • ✅ Strong problem‑solving skills
  • ✅ Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • ✅ A willingness to learn in a technical environment
