Murphy is recruiting for a Materials Coordinator to work with the Energy Team on the National Grid, Yorkshire Green.

A day in the life of a Murphy Materials Coordinator:

Raising Material

Requisition s in accordance with the Designers’ MTOs and relevant data sheets
Liaison with the Operations leads and project PMs relating to all aspects of ordering materials, manufacturing status and deliveries
Establishing and maintaining a listing of all permanent materials in accordance with purchase orders / requisitions (Material Schedule).
Highlighting any problems resulting from inspections and raising the necessary Over / Short / Damaged Reports or Quality Observations as required.
The setting up and maintenance of all site material control records and certification.
Storage inspection of material and equipment to verify the correct storage and handling
Issuing material against authorised requisitions.
The collation of all materials' certification and data packages for inclusion in the handover documentation.
Reconciliation of materials upon completion of contract
Monitoring activities and conducting inspection and expediting duties, as required by approved Quality Plans, Purchase Orders, at relevant vendors' premises, and ensure vendors conduct all the necessary inspections and testing.
Producing and issuing Material Inspection Reports
Review and approval of vendor certification packages
