About the Role:
Our client is looking to strengthen its position within the regulated water sector and is seeking a senior-level engineering professional to play a key role in delivering and shaping major UK infrastructure programmes.

This is a strategic position offering involvement across full project life cycles, from feasibility and front-end design through to detailed design and construction support. The successful candidate will contribute both technically and commercially, influencing programme delivery and supporting wider sector growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project and programme delivery across full UK water project life cycles (feasibility through to construction support)
  • Support technical teams to meet programme, budget and quality targets
  • Prepare briefs, scopes of work and contribute to bid proposals
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and supply chain partners
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, Safety in Design (CDM) and environmental legislation
  • Manage contracts, budgets, change and risk
  • Produce project reports and technical documentation
  • Champion digital innovation and continuous improvement
  • Mentor junior engineers and support professional development
  • Potentially act as Delegated / Supervising Civil Engineer within ICE training schemes

What Our Client is Looking For:

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Chartered Engineer status (or substantial progress towards chartership considered)
  • Experience delivering projects for regulated UK water clients and contractors
  • Strong end-to-end project management experience
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Commitment to innovation and quality improvement
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Experience mentoring engineers towards professional qualification
  • Experience working within Office 365 and SharePoint environments
