Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an independent planning consultancy in their search for a Town Planner to join their London-based team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional looking to work across a diverse range of projects within a collaborative and commercially focused consultancy environment.
The RoleAs a Town Planner, you will be involved in a variety of planning projects across sectors including residential, commercial, and mixed-use development. You will support senior members of the team in delivering planning advice and managing applications through the development process.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications
Undertaking site appraisals and planning research
Drafting Planning Statements and supporting documentation
Liaising with Local Planning Authorities and key stakeholders
Supporting project delivery across multiple schemes
Attending client meetings and site visits where required
Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
Working towards MRTPI Chartership (or keen to begin)
Good understanding of the UK planning system
Previous experience within a consultancy or local authority
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Organised and proactive approach to workload
