Salary: £85,000 to £100,000 per annum DOE + £7,500 car allowance or car

Hours:

Min 35 hours per week, Mon-Fri

Due to secured funding on a well-established major project, my client is looking to add two experienced Commercial Managers to their team to work under the Commercial Leads and manage teams of commercial staff. This is an exciting opportunity to work on multidisciplinary civil engineering and rail projects, with packages valued between £100k - £10m.

Your duties as a Commercial Manager will include:
Leading, managing, and developing the commercial teams across your portfolio of projects.
Managing all contractual matters from inception to close-out, with a focus on profit delivery.
Assisting in the preparation of contract documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, and drawings.
Managing the Risk & Opportunities process, identifying and balancing risks and opportunities.
Setting and managing project budgets, ensuring accurate cost allocations.
Proactively driving the recording of all contractual entitlements and ensuring timely change management.
Establishing and maintaining cost controls, including early warning systems and accurate financial data.
Providing procurement support to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality project delivery.
Negotiating and agreeing on contractual disputes and final accounts within defined levels.

Requirements:
Minimum of 4-5 years' experience in a similar role (Commercial Manager or SQS).
Experience in civils projects; rail experience is desirable, but not mandatory.
Experience working for Tier 1 or main contractors, or subcontractors,
Ability to manage and lead a team.
Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (desirable).
Chartered status (RICS or CIOB) is a plus, but not essential.
