Shift Mechanical Engineer

Location: Pollington, East Yorkshire

We're looking for a talented Shift Mechanical Engineer to help in ensuring operational efficiency and providing immediate assistance for equipment breakdowns. If you have a knack for problem-solving and a passion for engineering, we want to hear from you! This role works on a 24/7 Panama shift pattern, working 2 days on, 2 off, 3 on, then 2 off, 2 on, 3 off, with a day/ night shift rotation.

• Conducting both reactive and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment
• Maintaining cleanliness in the workshop and factory areas
• Contributing to improvement initiatives and participating in project discussions.

• Time served or suitably recognised qualification in production or Mechanical Engineering (e.g. ONC, EAL level 3 NVQ in Mechanical Engineering)
• Demonstrable practical experience in both reactive and preventative mechanical maintenance
• Possessing a comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in welding, as well as proficiency in pneumatics, hydraulics, and the operation of various plant machinery.
• Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and experience in relevant software (e.g. design and calculation software)
• Safety conscious with proficient knowledge of health and safety regulations
• Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate risks to safe levels.
