Principal Hydraulic Modeller

A global consultancy in the water sector, is currently seeking a Principal Hydraulic Modeller to join their team. Based in Leeds, this contract role specialises in wastewater modelling for a 6-month period, with the potential for hybrid and flexible working arrangements.

• Developing and calibrating hydraulic models to support wastewater management projects
• Evaluating and interpreting hydraulic data to ensure accurate modelling outcomes
• Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate hydraulic solutions into larger project plans
• Providing technical guidance and support to junior modellers and project teams
• Preparing detailed reports and documentation on modelling methodologies and findings
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Liaising with stakeholders to present findings and recommend actionable solutions

• Extensive experience in hydraulic modelling, particularly in the wastewater sector
• Expertise in the use of hydraulic and civil engineering software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent report writing and presentation abilities
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Relevant degree in civil engineering, hydraulics, or a related discipline
• Flexibility to adapt to hybrid and flexible working arrangements
