You'll be working as a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer, supporting the design and development of mechanical systems and components from concept through to detailed design. This role offers a balanced mix of office-based design work and collaborative project involvement, working closely with senior engineers, manufacturing teams, suppliers, and customers.

Assisting in the creation of design concepts, layouts, and engineering solutions

Producing and updating 3D models and detailed drawings to industry standards

Supporting the preparation of Bills of Materials (BoMs) and technical documentation

Assisting with engineering calculations to verify and validate designs

Participating in internal and external design reviews

Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to support efficient and cost-effective design solutions

Supporting senior engineers throughout the full design lifecycle

Working within company procedures and quality standards

A Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (or similar)

A good understanding of mechanical engineering design principles

An interest in developing skills across design, analysis, and manufacturing processes

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team

Good organisational skills and attention to detail

Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office

A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
