Why this role?You’ll take part in an intensive 6‑month training programme, including a City & Guilds Electrical Engineering course, giving you a strong foundation to grow your career in the power industry. Once trained, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering high‑quality jointing work across our network—ensuring safe, reliable connections and helping keep homes, businesses, and communities powered every day.
What You’ll Be Doing- Carry out cablehead changes, replace cablehead and substation fuses, locate faults, deploy and connect generators, complete jointing work, issue and receive safety documents, and occasionally support other trade teams.
- Plan jobs, prepare materials and equipment, and complete safety documentation.
- Take part in standby duties once fully trained.
We’re looking for enthusiastic people who enjoy practical work and solving problems.
To Be Successful, You’ll Need- At least 2 years’ experience in any industry (doesn’t have to be electrical – we’ll train you).
- A technical or electrical qualification is an advantage but not essential.
- A full valid driving licence.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
