A well-established live data centre in Slough is recruiting a Data Centre Shift Technician to support critical operations across a high-availability environment.

This is a hands-on shift role focused on planned and reactive maintenance, incident response, and safe operation of M&E systems. You'll work closely with the Shift Manager, act as a Low Voltage Authorised Person (LVAP) (or work towards it), and ensure all activity meets strict safety and compliance standards.

The role

Planned & reactive maintenance of critical plant and systems
Responding to BMS alarms and managing incidents in real time
Permit to Work control, switching, SOPs & EOPs
L8 compliance for water and cooling systems
Supervising contractors and reviewing RAMS
Accurate maintenance records and site documentation

About you

Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
LVAP or working towards
Current Wiring Regulations certificate
Experience in a mission-critical environment (data centres preferred)
Strong H&S knowledge and calm under pressure
Flexible for shift work Desirable: PASMA, IPAF, Emergency First Aid, experience with BMS / fire systems.
