History Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting June 2026 This school provides a calm, well‑structured, and supportive learning environment where pupils benefit from positive routines, clear expectations, and engaging teaching. • Teach History full time across relevant secondary year groups
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that develop analytical thinking and historical understanding
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet varied learning needs and abilities
• Maintain consistent behaviour expectations and a positive classroom climate
• Assess pupil progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
• Contribute to departmental planning and collaborative curriculum development
• Support pupils in developing strong essay-writing, source analysis, and contextual knowledge
• Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong History teaching experience
• Confident delivering History at KS3 and KS4
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
• Strong communication and organisational abilities
• Able to motivate and support learners of mixed abilities
• Reflective, proactive, and committed to high‑quality teaching
• Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
