Head of MFL + EAL
Permanent position starting in September 2026
MPS-UPS + TLR
Must have some department management experience
Spanish/French Specialism
Develop and co-ordinate MFL and EAL links within the school and with the LA, and other external agencies.
Lead, review and develop all area policies and strategies in line with the strategic aims of the school.
Leading curriculum development for the whole learning area.
Secondary school in Manchester - 11-16 Ofsted 'Good' - excellent links to transport and on-site parking
Fantastic CPD and career progression support within the school
Excellent policies such as behaviour management with support from the leadership team

This school are keen to appoint a gifted MFL Teacher with high levels of personal proficiency in French and Spanish. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, imaginative and rigorous teacher with significant experience and a proven record of success in terms of student academic outcomes.

In addition, the role involves planning and delivering a suitable English Language programme to EAL students to help them become confident English speakers.
