Position: Specialist teaching assistant (SEN)
Location: Shere

The specialist school in question is a OFSTED "Outstanding" school and leader in the county. The school is currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to support in their secondary division. This role is needed 40 hours a week and is a term time only role (08:30-4pm Monday-Friday). It will start ASAP and offers a fabulous opportunity for a committed, nurturing and empathetic individual.

Applicants will be responsible for helping Children from the age of 11 years with severe and complex needs including but not limited to Autism, ASD, SEMH and medical needs. The school boasts brilliant grounds and embraces outdoor learning, and is proud of its safe and welcoming ethos and committed senior leadership team.

Requirements
  • Relevant teaching or care assistant experience (must be able to provide references)
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
Responsibilities

Supporting learners on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis.
