Adjunct Faculty – Writing, English, Speech, or Communication (UK On‑Site)

University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) seeks adjunct faculty to teach on‑site in the United Kingdom for the Writing, English, Speech, or Communication programs.

Eligibility &

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Writing, English, Speech, Communication or related field from an accredited institution.
• Professional experience in a related field.
• Experience teaching adult learners online and in higher education is strongly preferred.
• Local applicant only. Adjunct positions are not eligible for UMGC‑sponsored logistical support.
• Must have and maintain base access and legal status in the country where they apply to teach.

Role Overview:

• Teach courses to adult learners, many of whom are balancing career, family and other responsibilities.
• Provide scholarly and professional insight as a scholar‑practitioner.
• Assist students in achieving success academically and professionally.

Compensation:

• Salary commensurate with experience.
