Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to work in schools in Llantwit Major
. We have both full-time and flexible supply opportunities available.

This rewarding role involves supporting pupils within the ALN (Additional Learning Needs) base
, as well as assisting learners as they integrate into mainstream classrooms
. You will play a vital role in helping pupils achieve their academic, social, and emotional potential.

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Additional Learning Needs
• Assist pupils within the ALN base and during mainstream lessons
• Support the class teacher in delivering differentiated learning activities
• Help implement Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Promote inclusion and independence

• Have experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
• Are patient, nurturing, and resilient
• Can build positive and trusting relationships
• Are confident supporting pupils with varying needs
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills
• Are adaptable and proactive

• Experience supporting pupils with:
  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties
• Understanding of trauma-informed practice
• Knowledge of behaviour management strategies
• Experience delivering interventions or targeted support programmes
• Familiarity with Individual Development Plans (IDPs) or EHCPs
• Team Teach or other positive handling training (desirable but not essential)
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, Supporting Teaching & Learning, or equivalent)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
