About Black Mountains College

Black Mountains College is an educational charity and radical institution focused on climate action and adaptation. We offer further education, undergraduate degrees, short courses, and public education across Bannau Brycheiniog National Park.

We support people of all ages and sectors to understand the climate emergency and respond justly to its impacts. Our work is rooted at Troed-yr-Harn farm, a 120-acre site in the Black Mountains near Talgarth, Powys, Wales, dedicated to land‑based learning and agroecological practice.

We are recruiting a lecturer for our BA (Hons) in Sustainable Futures:
Arts, Ecology and Systems Change, launched in 2023.

We are seeking a 0.5 FTE Lecturer in Sustainable Futures with expertise in agroecology, alternative economic futures, and/or socio‑technical systems. The role is permanent, with potential to expand for candidates able to contribute to other areas of the programme.

All our teaching on the degree takes place in person at our campus in Talgarth where we have several dedicated teaching spaces.

Interviews are scheduled to take place during week commencing 23rd March
